Now with a new and improved gallery I finally got through all my deviations. All photos have been reframed and most have undergone some colour adjustments – hopefully for the better. I got a little hooked on the nice workflow of Lightroom so I ended up spending a little more time fine tuning than intended. Also print versions of a lot of the photos have been submitted. I doubt they are print worthy, but just in case anyone is interested

While during all the (re)submissions, I really enjoyed dA's new streamlined submission process. It sure has changed for the better since last I was active. I also noticed that my new submissions got a few favourites instantly which must indicate that more people than ever are watching the galleries. Unfortunately, it seems a lot of people still tend to favourite without giving any critique, which is a shame. After all, comments are more useful.

Another change I've noticed is the increased tendency to low resolution submissions and extreme use of watermarks. I can appreciate that artists don't want their work copied and ripped off, but isn't the purpose of dA to enjoy art? It's kind of hard to enjoy a beautiful piece when it is only 400 pixels and 30 % covered by a watermark. Just a thought.
